NGO FANAMANBY is born from the volunty of its fondator to do more than « classical » conservation. Surrounded by a young team, dynamic and multidisciplinary, serge Rajaobelina indentified natural parks as a plateform for a sustainable development through the creation of touristic projects to benefit the communities and the activities of biodiversity conservation.

The approach of Fanamby is articulated around sharing and exchanging, with respect to local communities and the valorisation of their own and unique weath.

Our projects are development precursors, we build a link between the communities, the private sector and the realities concerning biodiversity conservation. These three (3) elements are the fundamental basis of the durability of touristic activities.

OUR INNOVATIVE APPROACH OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

The Natural Parks that we manage are classified «  Category V Protected Areas » by the IUCN, where you will see communities which cultures and traditions will give you an overview of the diversity and wealth of this continent-island that is Madagascar.

The biodiversity conservation activities are carried out with the adhesion and participation of men and women living in. The fauna and flora are not the only priority.

The improvement  of the standard of living and the well being of the communities are predominant factors that lead to an intelligent and sustainable way to exploit the and and its products. From Anjozorobe to Daraina, you will appreciate the savoir-faire of the communities in term of rice production and vanilla treatment, the « green gold » of Madagascar.

The implentation of touristic activities in Natural Parks allowed the creation of income genereting activities in alternative to recurrent problems of natural ressources exploitation.

These touristic structures are managed with and for the communities through job creations, purchase of input locations (market garden products) and reversing percentage in the sales figures and the rough result of exploitation.

The community also benefit from the knowledge and the professionalism of the private sector in term of hotel businesses and marketing thanks to a management delegation system. Finally, the community keeps entirely the ownership of the land, the developped site and the developped site, the NGO Fanamby remains the project promoter.

Our projects are development precursors, we build a link between the communities, the private sector and the realities concerning biodiversity conservation.
